“First Grader’s Day” for Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant (DMZ)
“First Grader’s Day” for Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant (DMZ)
A TASK:

Hold a “First Grader Day” for the children of the workers of the DMZ plant. Make the holiday memorable by combining educational and entertaining part. Organize 150 children without creating fuss and chaos.

DECISION:

As you understand, the tasks before us were not the easiest! And the question is not to come up with a program and organize children …

We proposed the concept of “Professions Factory”, where children could get acquainted with representatives of different professions working at the factory. The difficulty was in choosing a way of dividing into teams that was understandable for the kids and not a chaotic, logical route, following which the children would feel calm and safe. We proposed an original color system for dividing into teams so that each child could find his “counselor”. After that, groups of children moved to explore the stations and conquer new professions. We told and showed the children how builders, metallurgists, doctors, chemists, photographers, labor protection and sportsmen work. In addition, each future student showed his creative potential by painting a large drawing of a plant 2×3 meters in size. As a result, everyone was delighted with both the theme stations and the final bright performance of the clown and his trained dogs. Well, gifts in the form of backpacks and ice cream were definitely remembered by children and their parents as a bright moment before the start of adult, school life.
